PinRate was born from a simple question:

"Can I trust this website?"

We've all been there — browsing a small business site or booking a place that seems legit, only to find out too late that something's off. For many websites, especially lesser-known ones, there's no reliable way to assess their reputation. No reviews, no transparency, no easy way to know if others had good or bad experiences.

That exact frustration led to a personal turning point when one of us got scammed by a small hostel — and had nowhere meaningful to leave a public review. That experience highlighted a serious gap on the web: not every site makes it to platforms like Trustpilot, and not every review gets seen or saved.

So, we decided to do something about it.

Our Story

Coming from backgrounds in software development, UI/UX, and security-conscious design, we realized that reputation insights for websites and domains shouldn't be exclusive to marketers, nor hidden in complicated dashboards.
